The base of the Warhol “Dark Brown” Outdoor armchair, like that on the Alison ”Dark Brown” Outdoor, rests on anodized aluminum blocks perfectly matched to the color of the wood. This device makes it possible to avoid direct contact of the wood with the ground, thus preventing it from absorbing moisture.
Frame: wood, 120×35 mm made of solid kiln-dried iroko. Processed using computer controlled machines, 45° assembly, interlocking joints are assembled and finished by hand. The iroko is stained a dark brown color and then treated with protective paint to lend high resistance to sunlight, weather, and features a 35 level gloss finish. Counterframe in exterior-painted metal. Woven elastic strap webbing for exterior use in synthetic rubber and polypropylene is UV resistant.
Cushions: seat, backrest cushions and armrests in high resilience polyurethane foam and eco-friendly water- resistant fiber. To provide greater protection from water and moisture for the padding in the seat cushions, backrest cushions and armrests, all the cushions are covered in water-repellent polyester fabric. All the components used in construction – zippers, thread – are water-resistant and ideal for outdoor use.
Covers: cushion covers are completely removable.
Base: dark brown anodized aluminum block, inserted via milled groove in the solid wood, with protective rubber pad.
N.B.: iroko is a natural material and therefore does not always have uniform veining and color, so it is possible to find veins or gradations of color that are not all the same; this is not a defect but rather a valuable asset of solid wood. Iroko wood may exhibit changes in color.
Rain Cover optional: rubberized 150-300 polyester. The PVC contains additives that are designed to offer more protection: anti-UV for exposure to direct sunlight, anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, anti-mite and self-extinguishing. Avoid the use of aggressive cleaning agents, even general purpose agents. It is highly recommended to make maximum use of the Rain Covers – not only during the winter months – to keep the Lifescape Collection in good condition. Although the materials and processing methods have been carefully chosen for their properties and performance in outdoor environments, weather conditions can significantly alter the original state of the furniture.
